REQUIREMENTS

 

Your new role:

As a key member of our team, you will:

  • Provide overall technical design, solution architecture, and direction for enterprise integration, API management, and middleware solutions.

  • Lead the design and development of API proxies, manage API policies, and configure IBM API Connect environments.

  • Install, configure, and maintain IBM DataPower appliances and API Connect infrastructure in clustered environments for high availability and load balancing.

  • Work closely with development, network, and security teams to design and implement API policies, security configurations, and overall system integration.

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain healthy system operations for DataPower, API Connect, and API traffic.

  • Manage API security, including authentication and authorization protocols like OAuth 2.0, SAML, JWT, SSL, and SSO.

  • Develop and maintain documentation on DataPower configurations, API Connect setups, API policies, and troubleshooting procedures.

  • Integrate and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, Nexus, and other DevOps tools.

  • Utilize IBM DataPower development activities, including service design, XSLT, Gateway Script, SOAP and REST services.

  • Be prepared to work in 24/7 shifts to support client requirements.

What you will need:

Experience:

  • 15-20 years of hands-on experience with IBM EAI tools (IBM API Connect, IBM DataPower, IBM MQ).

  • Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect designing and implementing technical solutions.

  • Strong expertise in API management, middleware technologies, and enterprise integration.

  • Expertise in Java/J2EE, Microservices architecture, and APIs (REST, GraphQL).

  • In-depth experience with API security and authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth2.0, SAML, JWT, SSO).

  • Familiarity with IBM DataPower installation, configuration, and management in a clustered environment.

  • Experience with DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Nexus) and CI/CD processes.

  • Solid understanding of API design principles, RESTful architecture, and microservices.

  • Hands-on experience with SSL certificates, cryptographic objects, and security configurations.

  • Proficiency with DataPower appliances and API Connect security policies.

  • Strong skills in monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting systems.

  • Expertise in XSLT, XQuery, SOAP, REST, and XML technologies.

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration systems.

  • Knowledge of Node.js frameworks (e.g., Express).

  • Familiarity with installation and networking concepts for enterprise systems.

  • Experience with administration and configuration tasks, including managing users, domains, and access restrictions.

Desirable:

  • Experience with AAA policies (authentication, authorization, auditing) and customization.

  • Knowledge of SSL/TLS Proxy configuration and certificate management.

  • Familiarity with SOA, SOAP, WSDL, XSD, XML, JSON, XSLT, XPATH standards.

  • Hands-on experience with error handling and logging in DataPower.

  • Knowledge of Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I), APIC, ACE, and DPOD is a plus.

  • Familiarity with various protocols (HTTPS, FTP, MQ, TCP).

  • Experience with IIB/ACE administration on Windows and UNIX systems.

  • Strong scripting capabilities in Shell, Python, and other automation languages.

  • Strong communication, written, and presentation skills.

  • Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on troubleshooting and performance optimization.
