Summary

We are looking for a Cloud Data Engineers / Senior Engineers and/or Spark Developers for developing the next generation cloud platform for cognitive analytics. Our client is an international corporation based in Latvia a Lithuania delivering products and services to clients across EU - Germany, UK, Switzerland to name a few.

Requirements

Required skillset

  • Working knowledge of analytics services and containers of one or more public cloud providers (Google Cloud Platform, MS Azure, AWS).
  • Experience with SQL databases or big data tools such as Hadoop, Kafka, Apache Spark, NoSQL databases. 
  • Experience with DevOps methods and CI / CD tools.
  • Very good communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm to try and learn new things.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Perfect written and spoken English.

The responsibilities may include:

  • Implement user stories
  • Support planning & management of sprints
  • Establish QA processes & conduct tests to ensure quality
  • Prepare & conduct workshops and stakeholder meetings
  • Data Model architecture & implementation on cloud platform (abstraction from source system, abstract data layer that is market independent, analytical base tables, analytics result table, interface tables to provide results to target services & APIs).
  • Implementing the Data Supply Chain (DevOps CI/CD) on Microsoft Azure Stack (Azure Data Factory, HDInsight, Azure Data Lake, Scala).
  • Support in artefact preparation for client workshops and deliverables.
  • Data engineering (Scala) & modeling
